Since
the launch in Australia in 1998 the Mercedes Van range has been proven
to be successful in most market.
Again Daimler Chrysler have foreseen the need for a larger more economic van well before the others latched on to the concept.
The Vito and other models since the launch into the commercial van market in Australia have sold in excess of 34000 units now with more to follow.
MERCEDES-BENZ SPRINTER - Three wheelbase lengths and two roof height options are offered with the Mercedes Sprinter, with load volume up to 13.4 cubic metres and payload up to 2.5t across the variants in the range, accessed through two rear doors and sliding side door. Power steering and radio cassette standard across the range, anti-lock brakes an optional extra on some models. Good ride and handling, comfortable cab and ample storage space for the usual oddments.
For standard equipment of all variants include 16-inch wheels with a
highly effective braking system and sturdy with disc brakes all round,
anti blockier system ABS, electronic brake force EBV and hydraulic brake
BAS. Another plus the promise of security available either Bi-xenon
headlamps with additional static Turning and cornering light, a new
dimension in the light and thus security technology for vans.
